Depok-Insurance and Actuarial Administration study program, Vocational Education Program, Universitas Indonesia (UI) held an industrial visit to one of the insurance companies in Indonesia, Tugu Insurance, on November 6, 2023. The visit was accompanied by a lecturer in Insurance and Actuarial Administration, namely Debrina Vita Ferezagia, S.Si., M.Si. and Karin Amelia Safitri, S.Pd., M.Si. The visit was welcomed by the President Director of Tugu Insurance, Tatang Nurhidayat, who introduced Tugu Insurance in full to students. Tatang also appreciated the industrial visit activities carried out by the Insurance and Actuarial Administration study program. According to him, it is important for the younger generation to increase financial and insurance literacy.
Head of the Insurance Administration and Actuarial Study Program, Yulial Hikmah, S.Si., M.Si., said that the company visit program aims to provide students with new knowledge regarding the insurance industry before they dive into it when they graduate from UI Vocational. Yulial explained, “On this company visit, we hope that students will not only learn about insurance, but also the work process involved in it. Apart from that, they will also gain experience from various insurance industry practitioners.”

Several Tugu Insurance practitioners also provided material to students, namely Nadia, Corporate Secretary (Tugu Insurance at Glance); Arkan Dewantara, Aviation Claim Department Head (Marine and Aviation Claim Department); Jusman Hutama, Group Head Human Capital & Services, and Melati Dara Ayu, Recruitment, Learning & Talent Management Department Head (Internship and MT Program). The talk show activity held during the industrial visit was interactive between practitioners and students. They had the opportunity to receive various insights, starting from the insurance products owned by Tugu Insurance, the implementation of insurance knowledge in the industry world, to the process of recruiting insurance human resources at Tugu Insurance. During the company visit activity, Tugu Insurance also opened opportunities for Insurance and Actuarial Administration study program students through an internship program.
