Depok-Putri Angelina Brahmana, student of the Public Relations study program, Vocational Education Program, Universitas Indonesia (UI) was a delegate at The 4th International Conference on Communication and New Media Studies (COMNEWS) 2023 in Bali on Wednesday (25/10). The event was organized by Multimedia Nusantara University and Udayana University with “Rethinking post-digital society: Imagining the future of media, communication, and sustainability” theme. In this event, Angelina representing her research group presented a scientific work entitled “Consumer Perceptions of Generation Z of Go-Ride Service Product Based on Marketing Mix Concept.”

The paper presented by Angelina aims to explore generation Z’s perceptions of Go-Ride services and analyze the application of the marketing mix concept offered by Go-Ride. In the presentation session, Angelina explained that she collected analysis results from 41 respondents, namely Public Relations study program students who were active users of the GoJek platform, through interview methods and data based on surveys given to these respondents. The results of this research show that the majority of respondents said they were satisfied with the services provided by Go-Ride and were interested in the marketing techniques used by GoJek in promoting its products. She said, “In conclusion, the Go-Ride service by GoJek is superior to competitors in terms of affordability, cost and time.”

Angelina said that she learned a lot about how to make good and accurate scientific work through the lecturer who helped, Mareta Maulidiyanti, S.Sos., M.M. and Pijar Suciati, S.Sos., M.Si. “Of course, this experience was thanks to the help of my research group colleagues and several lecturers who saw the potential of this paper. Starting from the Research Analysis course assignment, going through the revision process, even to the translation process, everyone contributed,” she said.

Not only that, Angelina said that she was able to network more while attending the conference. “During the conference, I felt comfortable because the friends I met were communicative and understood each other because they came from the same group, namely communication,” said Angelina.

She also did not feel burdened in the process of making this paper. She is actually very grateful to be surrounded by a positive and supportive environment for the achievements she has received. Her departure for the COMNEWS 2023 event was a new experience with a pleasant atmosphere.

Mareta Maulidiyanti, S.Sos., M.M., Head of the Public Relations Study Program, expressed her support for Angelina’s participation in the international conference. “We support all tridharma activities carried out by students and lecturers. Moreover, this is an international conference activity that can encourage the research climate in the campus environment. Hopefully in the future, more students, both from the Public Relations study program and other study programs, will be interested in exploring research and presenting it at national and international scientific conferences,” explained Mareta.
