The final material presentation session was an explanation of the topic “Marine Cargo Insurance” by Leni. Starting from explaining the responsibilities of an underwriter to explaining marine insurance held by PT AIG. “AIG currently holds three types of marine insurance, namely marine cargo, marine liability and inland marine. “Specifically for marine cargo and marine liability, we have many other derivative products,” said Leni. “This insurance covers loss or damage to goods and cargo during transportation by sea, land, air or rail. In short, this insurance provides financial protection for parties who have an interest in the goods,” added Leni.

After an interactive question and answer session with students, the speakers added their hopes regarding the marine cargo insurance industry. “This industry is small and dynamic. The challenges and risks are quite big in carrying out a cargo project. “Hopefully friends can open their minds about marine insurance and apply general insurance knowledge to the world of work later,” said Rilantiny.
