Depok, April 19, 2018 In commemoration of Kartini Day, the Family Women’s Association of the University of Indonesia held a meeting with the warakawuri on April 19, 2018 at the UI Vocational Education Program Auditorium Building. Raising the theme of Minang culture, this event was coupled with Angklung performance activities and Art Drama. The event was opened with the song “Ibu Pertiwi” accompanied by the traditional angklung musical instrument played by IWK representatives from the Faculty of Engineering and Vocational UI. After the angklung performance, the main event was the Art Drama presented by the Round Building Theater “Si Malin Kundang, Anak Durhaka” from the Faculty of Computer Science UI. The Warakawuri Miss Gathering event was attended by IWK representatives from the faculty level. In addition, the founders and figures who have contributed to the University of Indonesia were also present. Chairperson of IWK UI Eva Anis in her speech stated that this event was held as a form of reunion and gratitude for the services of the husbands of warakawuri women at the University of Indonesia. This event is also a form of appreciation for women who have contributed to the University of Indonesia. The event was closed with a warm welcome.
