The 2014 Vocational Program Village Development Activity was held on Wednesday, June 25, 2014 until Friday, June 27, 2014. This activity was carried out in a village that has tourism potential called Pusakamulya Village which is located in Kiarapedes District, Purwakarta Regency, West Java. The Vocational Program also helps in the development of tourism. The activity carried out on the first day was “Rembug Desa”, a gathering carried out by Vocational with villagers as well as explaining the arrangement of Village Development activities that will be carried out tomorrow. On the second day at the Kiarapedes Village Multipurpose Center, the activity started at 10.00 WIB, opened by the MC followed by remarks from Mrs. Diaz Pranita as a representative of the UI Vocational Program. The second speech was by Mr. Sudirman as the Head of Pusakamulya Village, then continued with remarks from Astrid Emily as the Chief Executive of BIna Village Activities. The activity began with “Socialization of Tourism Awareness” guided by Mrs. Diaz Pranita, then continued with the activity “Trash Can Painting Competition”, located in one of the classrooms of a madrasah school in Pusakamulya Village, this competition was attended by children aged 5-10 years. The purpose of this activity is to inform and provide awareness of how beautiful it is to maintain the cleanliness of the village by disposing of garbage in its place as well as providing guidance and simulation on distinguishing garbage bins according to the garbage they throw away, wet garbage is disposed of in garbage cans painted green while dry garbage is disposed of in garbage cans painted blue. This activity was closed with the giving of prizes as a form of appreciation and creativity for children who have participated in the competition. Another activity was “Demo of Making Tempeh and How to Market It” guided by Mr. Rahmat Ramli as an entrepreneur in the field of soybeans and tempeh. This activity was closed by Mr. Deni Danial Kesa as the Manager of Research, Student Affairs and Alumni by giving a plaque from Vocational to Mr. Rahmat Ramli. The activities carried out on the last day were “Tour Guide Training” and “Tea Walk” guided by Putri and Rifa’i by providing new experiences for the residents of Pusakamulya village, Kiarapedes how to be a good tour guide according to the expectations of tourists, and visiting directly to see the Arabica Coffee Plantation planted in the middle of the pine forest. The activity was closed by Astrid Emily as the Chief Executive of the 2014 Vocational Village Development with gratitude to the Village Head and residents of Pusakamulya village.
