Depok-Media Production Study Program, Vocational Education Program, Universitas Indonesia has just held a company visit to Tokopedia on May 23, 2023. Company visit is one of the lecture methods applied to Media Production students. Students are invited to directly experience the real work environment in the industrial world and add insight from industry practitioners.
The company visit was accompanied by a permanent lecturer in Media Production, Dr. Rahmi Setiawati, M.Si., as well as an industry lecturer for Media Intelligence and Communication Principles courses as well as Tokopedia’s Director of Corporate Affairs, Nuraini Razak, MA. During the visit, Media Production students were given material on work ethics, how to make an attractive resume, as well as tips and tricks for internship interviews by GoTo’s Head of Recruitment, Lita Rosalia.

Furthermore, they were also invited to take part in a talk show session with Leontinus A. Edison, Co-Founder of Tokopedia. During the visit it was also conveyed that Media Production students could carry out internships at Tokopedia as part of a mandatory program held by UI Vocational.
The Head of the Media Production Study Program, Ngurah Rangga Wiwesa, M.I.Kom., said that the internship program that will be carried out by future Media Production students is part of the Freedom to Learn (MBKM) program held by UI Vocational. Rangga said, “We hope that company visit can be a provision for Media Production students to be more prepared to enter the industry. In addition, the internship program provided by Tokopedia can be a place for MBKM for Media Production students in the upcoming semester.”
