Depok-Vocational Education Program, Universitas Indonesia (UI) is again accepting students from Mahidol University, Thailand as part of the inbound program in the Occupational Therapy study program. The two students, Phattharawan Thipsut and Natthakul Phaunphung, will carry out academic activities for about one month at the UI Vocational Education Program.

At the welcoming ceremony for the students, the Dean of the Faculty of Physical Therapy, Mahidol University, Assoc.Prof. Jarugool Tretriluxana, PhD, DPT, PT; UI Vocational Deputy Director for Education, Research and Student Affairs, Deni Danial Kesa, MBA., Ph.D; UI Vocational Deputy Director for Resources, Ventures and General Administration, Priyanto, S.S., M.Hum .; Head of Applied Health Department, Muhammad Hidayat Sahid, A.Md.OT., S.KM., M.Epid.; as well as other UI Vocational managements. This activity was carried out in the UI Vocational Intraco Room on May 2, 2023.
In his remarks, Deni said that the program was a form of collaboration between UI and world universities to build global-scale education. “After last year we accepted Mahidol University students to study at UI Vocational and one of the lecturers, Lect. Supatida Sorasak, imparting her knowledge to Occupational Therapy students, now the student exchange program is back on track. We hope that this program can continue in the following year and expand in the form of lecturer exchanges, as well as collaboration in the field of research and community service,” said Deni.

In addition, Mahidol University students not only receive teaching in class, but also have the opportunity to practice at the Vocation Wellness Center (VWC) Clinic and the Universitas Indonesia Hospital (RSUI). Deni added, “Through the various teaching factories owned by UI Vocational, we are trying to provide experience for foreign students to learn and know the concrete teaching process at UI Vocational.”
