DEPOK – The Hospital Study Program has held a public lecture with the theme “Implementation of Lean Management in Hospitals” on Wednesday, October 16, 2018. The purpose of holding this activity is to share with practitioners who already have a lot of experience in the field of hospital management regarding the mapping of hospital service processes based on Lean DNA so that students can have a broader insight into Lean management.
This event was held in the Intraco Vocational Room of the University of Indonesia guided by Hasnal and Pihan, hospital students, and then began with remarks from the head of the hospital study program, Supriadi, SKM., MARS. The public lecture on “Implementation of Lean Management in Hospitals” was moderated by Nia Murniati, S.KM., M.K.M. as the head of the hospital laboratory and delivered by Mr. Nawolo Tris Sampurno, the Expert staff of the Board of Directors of Pelni Hospital who will share knowledge about the simple, simple and not wasteful management process in hospital services as well as add insight for hospital students who will be interns.
In this public lecture, Mr. Nawolo Tris Sampurno or popularly called Pak Naw was very enthusiastic about delivering this material, as seen from the way he invited students to answer the jargon made by him so that the students who took part in this public lecture were also excited. In addition, Pak Naw also shared his book, namely “Business of the Present Era,” said Pak Naw, on the condition that students must visit Pak Naw’s Instagram account and write their reasons for wanting to have the book in the comment column. The committee also prepared prizes in the Q session for 4 students who actively asked interesting questions. At the end of the event, the Head of the Supriadi Hospital Study Program, SKM., MARS. gave goodie bags and certificates to Mr. Naw as a resource person at this public lecture. “To implement Lean, we must have courage and guts because not a few hospitals fail when implementing Lean, the first stages are awareness, namely socialization to all staff about lean, the second is conditioning all teams first, step by step, making improvements, third aspiring to the implementation itself and finally understanding the difference between over process and extra process” Nawolo Tris Sampurno, Expert Staff of the Board of Directors of Pelni Hospital.
