DEPOK – Starting from August to the beginning of last December, the University of Indonesia Economic Festival 2018 has been held which is one of the Work Programs of the Accounting Vocational Student Association (HMVA UI). The series of events started from the Competition Socialization activity which aimed to introduce the competitions contained at EF UI to high school/vocational school students and equivalent. The competitions that will be contested are Business Plan and Accounting Competition. This Business Plan has the theme “Build our Passion and Fire our Future” which aims to improve and create the entrepreneurial spirit of Indonesian Youth for Business Plan Competition participants in making a new work that can benefit Indonesia. The Business Plan is divided into 3 series, namely:
Registration
Open to high school students equivalent, students with an age limit of 25 years. Invitations will be given to BEM of each University and Student Council of each school
Workshop
After receiving the Business Plan Proposal from the participants, it will then be selected into the top 10 by the judges. The participants will receive training in the form of a workshop held at the Vocational University of Indonesia. The purpose of holding this Workshop is to increase knowledge and provide provisions for participants in the field of Entrepreneurship so that participants can apply it in their business ideas and can implement it in the business world they are living.
Closing
In addition to getting a Workshop on Entrepreneurship, participants will also get the opportunity to realize their business ideas in the Bazaar on the closing day of EF UI. This is so that participants can implement the Business Plan they have made in this Bazaar. After that, the best 3 will be selected and announced. In addition to the Business Plan, there is also an Accounting Competition. The Accounting Competition is for High School/Vocational High School Students and equivalent. The Accounting Competition is divided into 3 series of events, namely:
Preliminary Round
In this preliminary round, it is divided into 2 phases, namely the individual phase and the team phase. In the individual phase, the participants were given questions in the form of Multiple Choice which was done individually and contained material about Economics and Accounting. In the second phase, namely the team phase where each team will be given an Essay question to be done in a team and this question contains material about the Basic Accounting Cycle.
Forum Group Discussion Round
After passing the preliminary round, the 10 best teams out of the 10 teams will take part in the FGD phase where in this phase each team will be given a Case Study on Accounting, then the participants must present and explain what cases they got to the jury
LCC Round
After passing the FGD phase, participants will be eliminated into 5 participants who will later take part in this round, where they will be given questions and scramble to answer. The value of this LCC can be determined who becomes the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Winner in this race. In addition to a series of Business Plans and Accounting Competitions, the Economic Festival also had a seminar with the theme “Get Ready for Artificial Intelligence and Industry 4.0″. The purpose of holding the Seminar is to provide further knowledge about the importance of Accounting in the global world and foster the spirit of entrepreneurship in the global world. In addition, it aims to invite young people to be able to play an active role in national economic growth. After a series of events, there was one closing event, namely the Closing Day of EF UI 2018 which took place on December 7, 2018. At this Closing Day event, Business Plan participants who qualify for the top 5 will get the opportunity to realize their business ideas in the Bazaar and the announcement of the top 3 winners of the Business Plan will be announced. The third place was won by the “Small Team”, the second place was won by the “Red Angel Team” and the first place was won by the “Venom Team”. As for the Accounting Competition, the second place was won by SMAN 48 Jakarta and the first place was won by SMKN 20 Jakarta. This event was closed by the performance of Guest Star, namely Feast and Aul Percussion.
