Dr. Budiman Mahmud Musthofa, S.Sos, M.Si. completed his undergraduate studies at the Department of Anthropology, University of Indonesia (2004), then continued his Masters studies at the Department of Sociology, University of Indonesia (2007) and the Doctoral level of Social Welfare Sciences, FISIP UI (2016). In 2011, he became a permanent lecturer at the Tourism Study Program, Vocational Education Program, University of Indonesia.
His current activity is as Head of the Tourism Study Program since 2018 and in 2020 he is trusted to serve as Chair of the Tourism Business Management Study Program, which is the Applied Undergraduate Program (D4) of the Vocational Education Program, University of Indonesia. In addition, he is also involved in various research activities and scientific studies, especially those related to applied tourism studies, studies related to applied anthropology and sociology, studies on community empowerment and social policy.
Budiman deepened his expertise in the field of Anthropology and Sociology of Tourism. This expertise is supported by several certifications he has obtained, such as certification for Competency Assessors, Tourism Guidance, Liaison Officer, Auditor for Tourism Areas since 2015 until now. Besides that, he is also involved in various community service activities both as the main servant and the service team especially in the field of tourism, community empowerment and development in the socio-cultural field.
