Depok – The Vocational Communication Study Program, University of Indonesia held Advertising Got Talent on Wednesday, November 21, 2018. This activity was carried out with the theme “This Could Be Your Brightest Future” The purpose of holding this activity was to educate and introduce Advertising in the industry world what kind of and how someone Advertising makes a product attractive. This event was held at the Audiotorium of the Vocational Education Program of the University of Indonesia directed directly by the Head of the Communication Vocational Study Program Dr. Devie Rachmawati, S.Sos., M.Hum., CPR was followed by the opening by Charlie Aziz, the CEO of Circa Ideaworks & Chairman of P3I DKI Jaya who discussed everything about Advertising why advertising is important, what are the types of agencies, What career opportunities in the agency in the future are all explained in detail. Then the second session of the explanation of Strategic Planning, an Advertisement what are the skills that a strategic planner must have, was delivered by Devie Attamimi, Executive Director Strategy of Hakuhodo Network Indonesia. Strategic planning is part of the advertising agency’s work system that regulates the concept or communication strategy that will be made into an advertisement. Strategic planning work requires more concentration, thought, research, data, references, discussion, and more.
In Session 3, Adi S Noegroho, Chief Creative Officer of Narrada Communications, explained what skills a creative must have in order to have the ideas desired by clients and reach the desired target audience. How does a creative person have unique ideas and how the process from an idea to an advertisement gets a selling point. Furthermore, in Session 4 explained about the media agency delivered by Vidya Candra Apriawan, Director of Digital & Media of Mindshare Enterprise Indonesia, explaining how she made a project project for well-known brands, a big project made by her team, namely the 2018 Asian Games. Finally, in session 5, Yuwi Anjaya, Business Director of Red Communication, explained about digital because it is currently developing digital, so an advertisement must know about Digital Advertising. There are 5 elements that must be learned in digital Advertising, namely Data, Strategy, Creative, Technology and Automation.
