Depok-Universitas Indonesia (UI) Vocational Education Program organizes a vaccination program for the entire community of Depok City, West Java, and its surroundings. The vaccination was carried out thanks to a collaboration between the UI Vocational Education Program and the Indonesian Banking and Finance Diploma Program Association (ADIKPI) and was fully supported by the Deposit Insurance Corporation (LPS) and the Police Resort Metro Depok, West Java. The vaccination booth located at Pesona Square Mall Depok was given to approximately 2000 acceptors during the vaccination program which was held on September 29, 2021 and October 1, 2021.

The event was opened by the Head of the UI Vocational Finance and Banking Administration Study Program, Dede Suryanto, who is also the General Chair of ADIKPI. The opening of the activity on the first day was also attended by representatives from IDIC, namely the Head of Public Communication, Education, Collaboration & CSR Division, Romy Di Putra, and his staff. On the second day of vaccination activities, the Head of Depok Metro Police, Kombes Pol. Imran Edwin Siregar, and Dandim 0508/Depok Kolonel Inf. Agus Isrok Mikroj. Sip.

According to Dede, this vaccination program is a form of concern for lecturers and students of the UI Vocational Finance and Banking Administration Study Program with ADIKPI. This is an embodiment of the Tri Dharma of Higher Education (aspects of community service programs) in order to support the accelerated vaccination program for academics, families, and the wider community of Depok.

Romy said that LPS was here to assist the government in accelerating herd immunity for the people of Depok and its surroundings towards a Healthy Indonesia. ADIKPI is supported by LPS, previously also supported the implementation of vaccination programs in campus networks and ADIKPI partners in various cities.

Depok Metro Police Chief Kombes Pol. Imran Edwin Siregar hopes that the vaccination program can continue. “We are ready to help make it a success by providing the necessary vaccines so that they can provide real benefits to the community,” he said.

Dandim 0508/Depok Colonel Inf Agus Isrok Mikroj. Sip welcomes the efforts made by UI Vocational and partners in this activity. He advised residents to always apply clean and healthy living behavior and maintain a distance when interacting during the Covid-19 Pandemic.

In this activity, UI Vocational also sent a physiotherapy team consisting of two lecturers and four students who provided post-vaccine physiotherapy consultation services which received enthusiastic responses from the vaccination participants.

During the vaccination service, which operates at 08.30-14.30 (GMT+7), all participants and organizers apply strict health protocols. All processes went well and smoothly thanks to the support from the Police Resort Metro Depok and the management of Pesona Square Mall who have prepared a comfortable place for vaccination participants, as well as support from various other partners. “Hopefully the synergies between campuses, government and business people that have been established through this activity can continue to be improved and developed in the future to provide wider social benefits in various aspects of life,” said Dede.[:]
