dr. Amendi Nasution, Sp.RM was born in Jakarta, February 6, 1948, she spent her elementary to high school education in the Cikini College from 1959 to 1968, then continued herstudies at the Faculty of Medicine in the Indonesian Christian University in 1979-1981 and in 1993 she took the education of Physician Specialists in Health Rehabilitation Sciences in FK UI – RSCM. She continued non-formal education in Sub Division of Child Health Neural in FK UI-RSCM on Jan 1995 to July 1996, at the Child Development and Rehabilitation at the Royal Children’s Hospital Melbourne (Australia) in March-May, 1997, and in Touch Therapy by Prof. Tiffani in October 1997.
Amendi began her career as a doctor in South Jakarta in 1983-1986, as a Sub-Department of Health Planning in South Jakarta in 1986-1988, as the staff in Medical Rehabilitation Installation in Tangerang Hospital in 1993-1994, as Doctor in Siaga Raya Hospital in South Jakarta, as the Division staff at the Department of Children’s Medical Rehabilitation in 1993-2004, as Head of the Division in Department of Children’s Medical Rehabilitation in Faculty of Medicine-RSCM in 2004 until now, as the Head of the Program Diploma in Occupational Therapy in Faculty of medicine / RSCM, as the Consultant of Children’s Rehabilitation in Kitty Centre in 1993-now, and as Consultant of Children’s Rehabilitation in Brawijaya Women Hospital on May 2006 until now, as the Presidential medical team / Personal Physician of Vice President, and the presidential Medical Team / Personal Physician of the President.
Throughout her career, Amendi had attended several courses / training including Hospital Performance Improvement, Architecture Design Based on Business, Speaker of The 8th Annual Scientific (PERDOSRI), Pediatric Rehabilitation University of Malay, Training Lecturer of Implementation Kufrak in School of Medicine, 2005. Amendi also have achievements such as an appreciation awards including “Bakti Karya”, ” Husada Dwi Wisnu”, and Honor of “Satya Kencana Kaya Satya”. Amendi also a member of several organizations including Member of Indonesian Doctors Association (IDI) in 1981-now, treasurer in PB PERDOSRI (Association of Specialist Doctors in Medical Rehabilitation) in 2001-2004, Head of Research Development in PB PERDOSRI in 2004-2007, Vice Treasurer in Cikini Education Foundation in 2001-present.
