JAKARTA – The initiative of the Ministry of State-Owned Enterprises (SOEs) to launch the Certified Internship Program is starting to show its shape. Today, Monday (13/8/2018) at the office of Perum Jamkrindo (Indonesian Credit Guarantee) – one of the state-owned enterprises in the financial sector headquartered in Kemayoran, Central Jakarta – opened the Batch 1 Certified Internship Program in collaboration with the UI Vocational Education Program and two other universities in Jakarta, besides that BTN also did the same thing by holding a certified internship program. “This program is adjusted to the needs of human resources in our place. For the University of Indonesia, we recruit students from the Vocational Education Program of the Information and Document Management Study Program as many as seven people and the Communication Study Program as many as three people,” said Sulis Udoko, Director of Human Resources and Human Resources and Compliance of Perum Jamkrindo. As is known, the program launched in commemoration of the 2018 National Awakening Day is under the Indonesian Human Capital Forum (FHCI) which is a synergy forum for human resource management practitioners in the SOE environment who are committed to increasing the competitiveness of Indonesian human resources to be ready to compete in the global market. This program is considered a mutually beneficial synergy because the superior human resources born from this program will also be an alternative source of SOE recruitment. Educational institutions such as universities involved in this program will also benefit in the form of increased insights, knowledge and skills to further prepare student graduates to enter the world of work. “We welcome this Perum Jamkrindo certified internship program because it is in line with the goals of the UI Vocational Education Program which produces graduates with high skills and have work-ready competencies,” said Dyah Safitri, Head of the Information and Document Management Study Program when giving a speech at the opening of the internship program. This internship program is also in accordance with the curriculum in the UI Vocational Education Program, namely curriculum 321, which is the first three semesters of studying on campus, two semesters (semesters 4 and 5) of industrial lectures, and one semester (semester 6) of internships/street vendors. “It is hoped that this SOE-certified internship is not only for final students but can also be given to students in the 4th and 5th semesters in accordance with industrial lectures,” added Dyah. “I hope this program can provide experience in practicing the knowledge that has been gained in college,” said Raka Naufal, a MID student of the UI Vocational Education Program class of 2015 who participated in the Perum Jamkrindo-certified internship program. This SOE-certified internship program is indeed expected to produce the next generation of the nation who are superior, highly competitive, and become the chosen force in their own country, especially facing the era of global competition. Overall, the Ministry of SOEs will recruit two thousand students who will intern in 63 SOEs. The target is that by 2020 there will be 20 thousand interns who can take part in this program.
