Deni Danial Kesa, Ph.D, Acting Director of UI Vocational Education Program, said that the activity was one of the implementation forms of UI Vocational to equip all academicians from various work units with the foundation of risk management framework and process. Deni said, “Risk management is a requirement for an organization to build a foundation in the form of rules, objectives, and commitment to a comprehensive risk management program. The framework includes planning, accountability from academicians, as well as the processes and activities used to manage UI Vocational performance risks.”
The risk management process is the core application of risk management, so it must be carried out comprehensively, consistently, and continuously improved according to needs. The implementation of ISO 31000: 2018-based risk management in detail and comprehensively on the three components is expected to increase the effectiveness of organizational risk management.

The in-house training activity was carried out with a pre-test and post-test on risk management, then practice filling out the risk identification worksheet, risk register and detailed mitigation plan, filling out reports, monitoring mitigation, and risk register review. Deni added that risk management is an important part because every UI Vocational academic community must be able to take risks appropriately. Therefore, risk management needs to be understood. “The framework is not intended or intended to determine a management system, but rather an effort or means to help organizations integrate risk management into the entire risk management system. We hope that this training can be implemented by each work unit to determine risk management and monitoring evaluation, as well as risk management,” concluded Deni.
