Various steps that have been taken and implemented include:
- Provide trash bins for different types of waste, namely wet waste and dry waste. In addition, special waste is provided for plastic waste. In maintaining a healthy and comfortable environment, in line with the University of Indonesia program, we segregate organic and non-organic waste so that it can be easily processed at the final disposal site by the University of Indonesia;
- Inviting the academic community to use the blank side of the paper due to a typo or other things that can be used to print various kinds of drafts, or cut them to be compiled into notes;
- Lecturers and students are encouraged to use tumblers or drinking bottles. In addition, the UI Vocational Canteen is encouraged to use paper-based serving facilities and no longer use styrofoam or plastic food wrappers. This effort is made to reduce the use of plastic waste and other difficult to recycle materials;
- Segregation of waste or hazardous waste such as Batteries. Waste batteries used in various electronic equipment supporting lectures such as microphones and loudspeakers are separated in their disposal, so they do not mix.
