At the event, UI Vocational displayed an interactive booth that showcased various information, posters, documentation, and community service products from the UI Vocational academic community. Visitors could directly see the various products on display and receive complete explanations from the booth guides. The booth stood out thanks to its thematic and aesthetic design concept, where the use of local batik fabrics as the main decoration not only enriched the cultural elements but also showed support for the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), especially point 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth) and point 12 (Responsible Consumption and Production) through the promotion of local creative products. The design was supported by a booth guide from the Research and Community Service Unit and students who actively provided explanations to visitors. Not only displaying works, UI Vocational also enlivened the festival stage with a traditional dance performance from the Vision Traditional (VISTRAD) student community which successfully attracted attention and received warm appreciation from the audience.
According to Debrina Vita Ferezagia, S.Si., M.Si., Manager of Research and Community Service at UI Vocational, this success is the result of collaboration and enthusiasm among the UI Vocational academic community in implementing the Three Pillars of Higher Education, especially in the aspect of community service. Debrina said, “We strive to showcase the essence of community service activities at UI Vocational in a creative and communicative manner. We not only highlight the final results, but also the collaborative process involving lecturers, students, and the community. This award motivates us to continue innovating and presenting community service activities that have a broad impact.”
