Depok-Students in the Financial and Banking Administration program, Vocational Education Program, Universitas Indonesia (UI), have once again achieved a proud achievement. The Invictus team, consisting of Adrian Zulkarnain, Ilham Agung Pangestu, and Florinda Inna Lichron N, won third place in the 2025 national Credit Officer Competition held by Politeknik Negeri Semarang some time ago.
This competition serves as a benchmark for the capabilities of aspiring young credit analysts in Indonesia, as participants are challenged to complete complex case studies related to customer credit applications and then present their analysis based on the Indonesian National Work Competency Standards (SKKNI). This year, 33 teams from various universities across Indonesia participated from September 8 to November 11, 2025.
Adopting the name The Invictus, meaning “invincible,” the students demonstrated strong determination from the very beginning of the competition. This spirit was instilled throughout the intensive preparation process, from discussions with senior students who had competed in similar competitions, to in-depth credit study with lecturers, to practice solving case studies and professional presentations. Presentations were judged not only on the accuracy of their analysis but also on the professionalism of their delivery, the ability to answer the judges’ questions, the effectiveness of their data visualization, and a deep understanding of prudential banking principles.

Adrian Zulkarnain, a team representative, stated that this achievement provided valuable learning experiences, particularly in credit analysis and professional presentation skills. “We are very grateful to be able to represent UI at the national level. The process wasn’t easy, but hopefully, this achievement will motivate us and other students to continue developing,” Adrian said.
Several courses, such as Credit/Financing Administration and Credit/Financing Monitoring and Evaluation, serve as an important foundation during competition preparation. The practical, practice-based curriculum helps students prepare for the challenges of the real banking industry. The Head of the Financial and Banking Administration Study Program, Vindaniar Yuristamanda Putri, S.I.A., M.M., praised Adrian and his team’s achievements. “This achievement demonstrates that classroom learning can be applied in a real-life professional context. This competition is proof that UI Vocational students possess strong analytical and practical skills in the banking sector,” said Vindaniar, who also served as the supervisor for The Invictus team throughout the competition.
Appreciation also came from the Director of the UI Vocational Education Program, Padang Wicaksono, S.E., Ph.D. According to him, the competitive experience for UI Vocational students’ competencies is very important and provides provisions for them before entering the industrial world. “This achievement demonstrates the quality of UI Vocational students who are ready to compete in the professional world. Competitions like this hone analytical skills, decision-making abilities, and students’ confidence when facing real situations in the banking industry. We are proud of the achievements of Adrian and the team who have brought UI’s name to the national level,” Padang concluded.
