The presence of these traditional garments not only added to the beauty and solemnity of the ceremony but also served as a tangible symbol of preserving the nation’s culture amidst the dynamics of the modern era. Traditional attire reflects the diversity of Indonesian identity while strengthening the spirit of unity within the academic environment.

The Director of the UI Vocational Education Program, Padang Wicaksono, S.E., Ph.D, expressed his appreciation for the participation of the academic community in commemorating this historic day. “We are proud that all UI Vocational academics can contribute to the meaning of independence, not only through attendance at the ceremony, but also by preserving the nation’s culture through the use of traditional clothing. This is in line with the UI Vocational values that encourage the younger generation to remain rooted in tradition while looking to an innovative future,” he said.

Through the spirit of togetherness, the participation of UI Vocational in the commemoration of the 80th Indonesian Independence Day is a concrete manifestation of the contribution of the world of education in maintaining national and cultural values.
