Depok-A number of students from the Media Production study program, Vocational Education Program, Universitas Indonesia (UI), conducted an industrial visit to one of the media, CNN Indonesia, on October 8, 2024. Located in the Mampang Prapatan area, South Jakarta, the Media Production study program students saw and learned the process of the world of journalism directly.

On that occasion, Cinthia Karani, Public Relations of CNN Indonesia, was also present, who accompanied the students during the industrial visit. Cinthia explained about CNN Indonesia which is one of the television stations and news sites owned by Trans Media. CNN Indonesia presents various local and international content that focuses on general news, business, sports, technology, and entertainment. Students were also explained about the technical process of media production in the CNN Indonesia environment.
Head of the Media Production Study Program, Ngurah Rangga Wiwesa, M.I.Kom., said that the company visit activity is one of the practical learning media for students. This visit is an implementation of the Media Production Law and Ethics course taught by Niki Charles, Event Management Head Division CNN Indonesia. “By visiting the industry, students will experience the complex work process of the industry and learn new things in it. In addition, they also have the opportunity to do an internship or work study in the industry later in the final semester,” said Rangga.

After the presentation, students were invited to tour the office. Starting from the control room, to the studio to see firsthand the news program process. On that occasion, students saw the news program process presented by Rivana Pratiwi, one of CNN Indonesia’s news anchors. “Hopefully this company visit activity will provide new knowledge for students. So, this knowledge can be implemented when they do internships or work studies in the industry later,” concluded Rangga.
