The Universitas Indonesia (UI) Vocational Education Program provides rainwater storage in the area around the UI Vocational Literacy Park. This rainwater storage pond is designed to collect rainwater that is used for various non-potable needs on campus, such as watering plants and cleaning public areas. By reducing dependence on groundwater and clean water from PDAM, this initiative significantly helps reduce clean water consumption in the campus environment, while minimizing the potential for rainwater runoff that can cause flooding or erosion.

In addition to its practical function, rainwater reservoirs are also an important part of water conservation education at UI Vocational. Students and staff are invited to understand the importance of rainwater management as a sustainable alternative resource. This implementation is in line with the water conservation policy stated in the Director’s Decree No. 76/SK/F14.DV/UI/2023, where every effort made is not only aimed at saving water, but also increasing environmental awareness among the academic community.
