The Vocational Education Program has provided security and safety facilities, such as surveillance monitors located in each building, CCTV that is able to monitor vital assets in all indoor and outdoor rooms as many as 198 units, 83 fire extinguishers located in all areas, indoor and outdoor hydrants. In addition, it is also equipped with fire extinguisher sprinklers, smoke detectors in all rooms, wheelchairs and oxygen tanks in Buildings A, B, C and the Auditorium, K3L cabinets for storing personal protective equipment (PPE) in buildings A and B, room plans, emergency stairs, emergency doors, evacuation route information, emergency numbers are on all floors of each building. In some rooms, biometric door handles have been used, to enter the building, an access card has been used to maintain security. All security and safety facilities are functioning well and are maintained.
There are instructions for using hydrants and extinguishers, as well as danger alarms in the VA, VB, VC buildings, as a notification in the event of an accident, crime, fire and natural disaster, with a minimum time of no more than 10 minutes. The UI Vocational Education Program conducts various simulations to mitigate the risks that occur. Meanwhile, traffic safety in the UI Vocational environment, has been regulated for directions for entry, exit, parking and parking prohibitions which are very useful for traffic safety and order in the UI Vocational environment.
In addition to security and safety equipment and supplies, UI Vocational conducts socialization of disaster emergency response readiness and readiness. This is an effort to minimize the effects of disasters, socialization of fire prevention and extinguishing small fires using fire extinguishers. In addition, safety promotion is also carried out by putting up posters and education on social media about safety in motorized vehicles, and appealing to all work units to mitigate security and safety risks carried out in various poster media and website.
Employees in the UI Vocational environment have participated in HSE & First Aid training and certification. With this, it is hoped that the safety and security of themselves and the surrounding environment can be anticipated immediately. In addition, UI Vocational received a visit from the Technical Management Unit for Occupational Health, Safety, and Environment of the Universitas Indonesia (UPT K3L UI) on June 19, 2024. The visit was carried out as part of the monitoring and evaluation activities routinely carried out by UPT K3L UI. Present at the activity were the UPT K3L UI team, namely Dr. Ir. Sjahrul M. Nasri, M.Sc. (Head of UPT K3L UI)
