Depok-The Universitas Indonesia (UI) Vocational Education Program strives to create a welcoming campus environment for all academics. One way to achieve this is by providing safe, comfortable, and easily accessible pedestrian facilities.
UI Vocational understands that pedestrians deserve adequate facilities such as sidewalks and crosswalks. Therefore, the pedestrian paths within the UI Vocational are designed to meet high safety standards, taking into account security, comfort, and accessibility.
This facility not only provides protection for road users from traffic risks, but also encourages walking habits as part of a healthy and sustainable lifestyle on campus.
This step aligns with UI Vocational commitment to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly point 11 (Sustainable Cities and Communities), by encouraging the creation of inclusive, safe, and accessible public spaces for all. Through this initiative, UI Vocational hopes to create a more pedestrian-friendly campus environment and serve as a concrete example of the application of sustainability principles in higher education.
