Depok-The Master of Applied Creative Industries study program in Vocational Education Program, Universitas Indonesia (UI), held a guest lecture featuring M. Riza Muchlis, a lecturer at Mandiri Corporate University, as a resource person on September 17, 2025. This guest lecture was part of the Project Funding and Investment course, held in the lecture hall of the Master of Applied Creative Industries Vocational Education Program at UI.
In his presentation, Riza comprehensively discussed conventional financing as a primary source of working capital widely used by businesses in Indonesia. He emphasized the importance of understanding various funding options, including commercial banks, rural banks (BPR), non-bank financial institutions, and government programs like the People’s Business Credit (KUR).
“Many MSMEs and companies face obstacles in accessing financing, ranging from limited collateral, inadequate financial reporting, to incomplete business legal documents. Therefore, it’s crucial for business owners to understand financing alternatives that suit their needs and capacity,” explained Riza.
