Depok-The Family Women’s Association (IWK) of the Universitas Indonesia (UI) Vocational Education Program participated in the UI IWK Bazaar activity held on August 28, 2025 at the Purnomo Hall, Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, UI.
On the occasion, UI Vocational IWK presented a variety of food and clothing products, all of which are homemade creations by the wives of UI Vocational and academic staff, as well as educational staff. The products sold include kuwut ice, lemon tea, wornas juice, candied fruit, small cork, sushi, dim sum, Solo sausage, lenggang martabak, vegetable salad, pempek, lopis, pastel, processed shrimp, rendang, anchovies, and headscarves.

The Chair of the UI Vocational Student Association (IWK), Dewi Anggraeni Padang, expressed her appreciation for the enthusiasm of all administrators and members in preparing products for this bazaar. Dewi said, “Our participation is not just about selling products, but also a forum for friendship, strengthening togetherness, and showcasing the creative potential of the UI Vocational family. We want to emphasize that this activity is in line with the spirit of women’s empowerment and supports the targets of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly in the aspects of economic empowerment, reducing inequality, and sustainable consumption.”
The UI Vocational IWK booth was busy with visitors from the start of the event. One customer, Fitriana, shared her impressions after purchasing several food products. “I’m very pleased with the variety of food on offer. The prices are affordable, the packaging is attractive, and most importantly, we can support home-based businesses run by UI academic families,” she said.

Through its participation in this bazaar, UI Vocational IWK also contributes to supporting several SDGs points, including point 5 (Gender Equality) by encouraging women’s active participation in economic activities; point 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth) through the development of productive home businesses; and point 12 (Responsible Consumption and Production) by presenting healthy and sustainable local food products.

The presence of UI Vocational IWK in the UI IWK Bazaar not only adds to the excitement of the event, but also strengthens UI’s commitment to building an academic community that is inclusive, empowered, and has a real impact on society.
