Depok-Insurance and Actuarial Administration Study Program, Vocational Education Program, Universitas Indonesia held a series of public lecture webinar entitled “Get to Know More About Study Program of Insurance and Actuary Administration” which has the theme of introducing insurance and financial literacy. This series of public lecture webinars will be held from October to December 2021 include 9 (nine) webinars. This webinar series activity is also a manifestation of the commemoration of Indonesia Insurance Day on October 18, as well as Financial Inclusion Month (BIK) which falls in October 2021. The speakers who attend each webinar are various practitioners in the fields of finance, insurance, and actuarial.
Head of Insurance and Actuarial Administration Study Program, Drs. Asrori, M.A., FLMI, said that this series of webinars was held as a forum for students and the general public to gain insight and knowledge about finance, insurance, and actuarial. “We held this webinar series to find out how the industry’s need for human resources is able to face such tight changes in the insurance industry, pension funds, finance, and others related,” Asrori explained.
By presenting various practitioners from their respective fields, the Insurance and Actuarial Administration Study Program seeks to bridge and facilitate this so that graduates are ready to face the world of work in order to know firsthand the real working conditions.
The Director of the UI Vocational Education Program, Prof. Dr. Ir. Sigit Pranowo Hadiwardoyo, DEA said, “Through public lectures that are packaged in the form of a series of webinars and presenting practitioners from various industries, I hope that students will understand better how vocational education and competency certification are needed in the industrial world, one of which is in the financial sector, insurance and actuarial.”
