Depok-Athiya Adzra Nurul, a student of the Accounting study program, Vocational Education Program, Universitas Indonesia (UI), who is a member of the Bintang Muda Basketball club emerged as the winning team of the Kejuaraan Kota Persatuan Bola Basket Seluruh Indonesia (PERBASI) 2024. She is in the Bintang Muda Basketball club. Athiya and her team managed to occupy the highest position in the 19-23 Age Category. She has been involved in basketball since she was in elementary school. According to her, basketball is a sport that uses strategy, teamwork, and strong stamina.
Since junior high school and high school, she has recorded achievements on the basketball court, starting from 1st place in the Junior High School/Girls Basketball Championship for Junior High School, Junior High School, and Senior High School at the East Jakarta City Administration Level; 2nd place in Junior High School/Girls Basketball at the City Level Student Sports Week (POPKOT); 1st place in the YBA Cup IX 2021 Inter-Club Championship in Cirebon; and 1st place in the PERBASI West Jakarta Inter-Club Basketball Competition 2022.

Director of UI Vocational Education Program, Padang Wicaksono, S.E., Ph.D, said, “Athiya’s achievements are the result of her and her team’s hard work. The steps taken by Athiya are one of the real contributions of students to make the name of their alma mater and club proud. If she continues to pursue it, I am sure that Athiya’s steps can reach national and international levels and bring the name of Indonesia.”
For Athiya, her participation in the basketball competition was to develop her basketball skills because she had the opportunity to compete against teams with various playing styles. “After participating in this competition, I hope to experience improvements in my basketball skills, both in technical and mental aspects. I also hope to increase my confidence in playing basketball, especially in competitive situations, as well as develop discipline and hard work which are important values in sports,” said Athiya.
She also expressed her gratitude to all parties who have supported her such as friends, family, coaches, teams, and campuses. “This success motivates me to continue to excel and give my best in the future,” said Athiya.
Bintang Muda Basketball Club managed to beat HPK Basketball Club with a score of 51:22 in the first round. Furthermore, they passed the preliminary round after beating GAMA Club with a score of 31:15. Then, in the final round they again beat GAMA and managed to win with a score of 44:25. Thus, Bintang Muda Basketball Club managed to become the first champion for the KU 19-23 category in the 2024 East Jakarta PERBASI Kejurkot match. The championship held at GOR Rawamangun and GOR Otista was held from May to June 2024. The championship categories consist of 14, 16, 19-23, and 24-35 Age Category.
