Depok-Vocational Education Program of the Universitas Indonesia and Faber-Castell International Indonesia officially established a collaboration on placement and training for students through an internship program in the Faber-Castell work environment. The signing was carried out on May 27, 2025 at Building A, Vocational Education Program of the Universitas Indonesia, UI Campus Depok, West Java.
This collaboration aims to create synergy between education and industry through an internship program designed to provide real work experience for students. This program is also expected to improve students’ skills and insights, so that it is believed that it will increase students’ confidence to enter the workforce or build their own businesses. The signing ceremony was attended by HR Manager of PT Faber-Castell International Indonesia Efi Rusfiantini and Director of UI Vocational Education Program, Padang Wicaksono, S.E., Ph.D and witnessed by several representatives from both Vocational University of Indonesia and Faber-Castell International Indonesia.
In her speech, Efi Rusfiantini stated, “We are very enthusiastic about this collaboration. We believe that through this internship program, students will gain valuable experience while contributing to the development of our company.”

Meanwhile, Director of UI Vocational Education Program, Padang Wicaksono, S.E., Ph.D said, “This collaboration is a strategic step for us to ensure that our students are ready to face the challenges of the world of work. We hope that this program will enrich their learning experience, especially preparing students to be ready to work and be accepted by the industry.”
Faber-Castell prepares competent human resources as industry mentors to be able to guide students for approximately one semester, as well as receive assessments that can support their career development in the future.

This collaboration is expected to be an example of successful collaboration between the academic world and industry to support the development of quality human resources in Indonesia, concluded Padang Wicaksono.
