Dr. Jajang Gunawijaya M.A.

dadangDr. Jajang Gunawijaya M.A. had served as a Secretary of the Department in Anthropology Studies in Universitas Indonesia (1994-1998). He also served as Deputy of Research and Development (1994-1995) and Head of Research and Development (1995-1998) in Institut Kesenian Jakarta. In 2004, Jajang served as a President Director of PT. Margi Dharma Wijaya until 2012. Jajang also served as Head of Tourism Studies Program in Diploma Program until 2008, then served as Coordinator of Tourism Studies in Vocational UI in 2008-2012, then became Head of Travel and Hospitality Studies Program in 2012 until now. Jajang continued his master degree in Anthropology Studies in 1995. He also did a research with the topic “Tatali Paranti Karuhun: the Invention of Society Tradition In Gunung Halimun, Sukabumi, West Java,” as the title of Dissertation for his Doctor degree in Anthropology Studies in FISIP UI in 2011.

Throughout his career, Jajang, who was born in Bogor, May 17, 1966, also published 8 national scientific journals. He has attended the Symposium, Seminar, and Activities in various of research and community service nationally and internationally. He became a lecturer since 2007 until now in FISIP University of Indonesia. He taught courses such as Economic Anthropology, Tourism Anthropology, Public Policy Anthropology and Business Anthropology. He also teaches the guiding technique in Vocational Education Program, Universitas Indonesia in 2008-present. He also teaches Movie Research Methods in FFTV IKJ (2007-present) and teaches Introduction to Anthropology in STIA LAN Jakarta (2011-present). He also a member of several organizations such as the Head of GIPI Development Program (Indonesian Tourism Industry Association in 2012-2014, as Head of Training program ASPERAPI (Indonesian Exhibition Companies Association) in 2009-2011, and as Head of Research and Development Department in IWMA (Association of Indonesian Masters Wellness ) in 2007-present
