DEPOK – The Records and Archives Management Study Program (MRA) Student Association and the MRA Study Program held a National Archives Seminar “Implementation of ISO 30301: Organizing Archival Information Systems in the Framework of Efficiency of Electronic-Based Archive Management” on 21 November 2020 through online. Raistiwar Pratama, ANRI Young Archivist, presented this national seminar; Tri Arso Purnomo, Senior Analysis at the Department of Logistics and Facilities (DPLF) Bank Indonesia; and Roebe & Associates, Management Consultants. This National Seminar was not only attended by students, but participants came from various agencies who were professional record managers or archivists.
In his presentation, Raistiwar Pratama conveyed what we talked about when telling about archiving standards, namely the change and continuity of archiving principles. He explained about the Technical Committee 01-03 Archives. This can provide input typical of “archivepelago” (archivepelago), such as KT 13-08, disaster management which proposes 2 standards regarding guidelines for implementation of a community based tsunami, and landslide early warning system (ISO 22327, 8), and makes it easier in the preparation of Standards, Procedures and Criteria (NSPK).
The next presentation was given by Tri Arso Purnomo, Senior Analysis at the Department of Logistics and Facilities (DPLF) Bank Indonesia who provided a lot of material on the benefits of implementing ISO 30301, including increasing business process productivity, increasing business process response time, reducing the risk of loss or damage to documents, and reliable document security mechanism. He also explained the objectives of Bank Indonesia document management.
During the talkshow or question and answer session, the seminar participants were very enthusiastic about giving questions to speakers in the field of archives.
