Depok-The Media Production study program, Vocational Education Program, Universitas Indonesia (UI) received a potential collaboration visit from ISART Digital France on February 17, 2025. This meeting aims to explore collaboration opportunities for the Media Production study program with the university. ISART Digital is a university in Paris, France that prepares its students for careers in video games, 3D-FX animation, and music & sound design.

Head of the Media Production Study Program, Ngurah Rangga Wiwesa, M.I.Kom., said that the potential for this collaboration can be built because the Media Production study program has several interests that are very relevant to ISART Digital. “This collaboration can focus on interests in game development, music, and others. I hope this collaboration can be carried out immediately so that both institutions get concrete benefits and have an impact on the creative industry,” said Rangga.

On that occasion, Dominique Loth, representative of ISART Digital, was also present to introduce the institution. He said that ISART Digital has education specifically for technology and game development. Some of them are game programming, game design, game art, 3D/VFX cinema, and others.

Also present were the Head of the Department of Applied Social Humanities, Dr. Budiman Mahmud Musthofa, M.Si.; Head of the UI Professional Certification Institute, Dr. Rahmi Setiawati, M.Si.; Head of the Media Production Study Program, Ngurah Rangga Wiwesa, M.I.Kom.; lecturer in the field of games, Duray Philip Rompas, M.T.; and a number of students of the Media Production study program. Student representatives also presented several game products that they created while studying at UI Vocational. For example, the game Yuk Pilah Sampah which is a game integrated with community service activities in Cibuluh Village, Bogor, and has been launched on Google Playstore.

After the discussion session ended, the delegation from ISART Digital was invited to visit the Media Production study program laboratory to see firsthand the facilities and potential for further collaboration. This meeting is expected to produce new initiatives in developing talent in the rapidly growing gaming industry.
