Jakarta-Currently, many generation Z are engaged in content creators, becoming one of the jobs that is increasingly showing its existence in the creative industry. From the production side, it takes many experts to support the performance of interesting, dynamic, and impactful content for the community. In line with the needs of the industry, the Media Production Study Program, Vocational Education Program, Universitas Indonesia (UI) continues to be committed to producing graduates who are able to compete in the creative industry through various study visits to industry. GoPlay was one of the companies visited by the study program last Friday, June 24. The visit was attended by the Head of the Media Production Study Program, N. Rangga Wiwesa, M.I.Kom., CICS, MIPR, lecturer in Media Production, Nailul Mona, S.I.Kom., M.Si., and students of the Media Production study program.
During their visit, together with several GoPlay teams, the students were guided to navigate the intricacies of the world of content production, both from an informative and practical perspective. Reza Lubis, as Content Development Executive, introduced the GoPlay live streaming service. He explained that GoPlay live streaming excels at serving the needs of their main target, namely millennials and generation Z to experience the sensation of real-time interactive live streaming.
Since it was officially launched in 2019, the GoPlay application has become a forum for content creators to channel the creativity aspect also get monetization from the results of creating content. GoJek, which is the parent company of GoPlay, believes that the content creation process can provide long-term benefits to the community.

“We are dedicated to creating quality content by directing content creators to first determine the genre or title that will be displayed in order to avoid the existence of content that does not contain or does not have quality,” explained Reza. GoPlay has three content pillars, namely Professional User Generated Content (PUGC), original content team, and VIP team. All three have their respective advantages that aim to produce interesting and useful content for the audience.
In addition, students also had the opportunity to witness the content production process directly at GoPlay Studio. Together with Dodi Prananda as the Producer and Andi Stevanus as the Operational Studio, the students were guided to learn how to implement the available job descriptions. They are welcome to try to become audio visual technician (OBS), content management manager (CMS), camera person, and talent.

Head of the Media Production Study Program, N. Rangga Wiwesa, M.I.Kom., CICS, MIPR, said that the study visit to the industry was one part of the Content Lab (COLAB Promed) program with industry. Rangga said, “In addition to the study visit, we are also exploring cooperation with GoPlay which includes course management and development, internships, and design mini studio. planning.”
“With the COLAB Promed activity with industry, we hope that students can experience firsthand the process of creating content in the industry. Also, the collaboration between Vocational UI and GoPlay can be established and sustainable,” concluded Rangga closing the interview.
