Wearing traditional clothing and respecting regional culture is very relevant to Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) point 11.4, namely increasing efforts to preserve and protect the world’s cultural and natural heritage. Wearing regional clothing is also one way to preserve cultural heritage. In order to support these efforts, lecturers and education staff of the University of Indonesia Vocational Education Program wore traditional Lombok clothing, which is part of the Sasak people’s culture. Traditional Lombok (Sasak) clothing for men consists of a Sasak shirt and shirt, a Sasak sarong, a shawl and belt, as well as a keris, and a blangkon (head covering). While women’s clothing consists of a Sasak kebaya, sarong, and shawl. The activity of wearing traditional Sasak clothing is a series of capacity building activities for lecturers and education staff of the Universitas Indonesia Vocational Education Program at the end of October 2024. In addition to wearing traditional clothing, capacity building participants also had the opportunity to try making songket cloth guided by the local community.
