Depok-As an effort to improve the economy of the creative industry in Indonesia, the Universitas Indonesia (UI) through the Media Production study program, Vocational Education Program, is building a strategic collaboration with EVOS, which is one of the largest gaming-entertainment organizations in Indonesia and Southeast Asia. This collaboration is also a concrete step for UI to participate in developing the world of esports in Indonesia.
The implementation of this collaboration began with teaching by practitioners from EVOS this semester. On this occasion, students from the Media Production study program got to know the esports ecosystem at national and international levels from the perspective of EVOS. The material provided by EVOS to Media Production study program students discussed the introduction of esports, gaming culture, monetization in the world of esports, the use of merchandise from a fashion business perspective in the world of esports, and esports marketing. At the end of the lecture, students are invited to create a campaign to promote esports.
