Depok-Universitas Indonesia (UI) on September 18, 2025 in the Auditorium through the Vocational Education Program held a competition event, namely ICON 3.0, organized by Makaravox UI in collaboration with Oracle. ICON 3.0 is a business case solution competition by Makaravox UI and PT Integrasi Logistik Cipta Solusi (ILCS) with the theme: “Empowering Logistics Through Innovation: From Youth, For Indonesia.” This competition is held online with a total prize of up to 50 million rupiah.
The event was opened by Deni Danial Kesa, M.B.A., Ph.D, Vice Director of Education, Research, and Student Affairs at the UI Vocational. Deni said, “In any competition, winning is certainly fun, but it’s far more important to keep trying. Thank you to Makaravox UI and the UI Vocational Public Relations study program for opening up a space for students to compete in the world of public relations.”

Agus Dharmawan, Director of Commercial and Business Development at PT Integrasi Logistik Cipta Solusi, also delivered remarks. He stated, “The ICON 3.0 event received 61 proposals from various renowned universities. This competition is not just a competition, but also a platform for generating creative ideas that can provide real solutions for the Indonesian port industry.”
As part of ICON 3.0, a Tech Talk Goes to Campus event was held with the theme “Digital Transformation towards Smart & Green Port” in shaping Indonesia’s competitive advantage. Present as speakers were Riri Satria, President Commissioner of PT Integrasi Logistik Cipta Solusi (ILCS); Febriandika Anggia, Head of Research & Innovation at PT Pelabuhan Indonesia (Persero); and Diafret Suryadi Nur, Principal Technology & Cloud Architect at PT Oracle, as well as Ahmad Dekatama, Jakarta Provincial Government Expert for Social Communication and Content Creator as moderator.
Riri Satria opened the discussion by explaining, “Current digital policies must lead to a green economy and a blue economy. It’s crucial for young people to continue learning and developing to face the challenges of Industry 4.0.”
Febriandika Anggia further explained, “PT Pelabuhan Indonesia (Pelindo), a subsidiary of PT ILCS, actively seeks information and continues to develop environmentally friendly projects. Pelindo is developing a wastewater management project and recycling water for various purposes, as part of its efforts to create a more environmentally friendly port.”
Concluding the discussion session, Diafret Suryadi Nur, said, “Oracle is improving operational efficiency in the port industry, the ongoing digital transformation at Oracle focuses on creating a more efficient system and can simplify operational processes.”
In line with the theme, this activity is a form of support from UI Vocational School towards the achievement of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), specifically points 9 (Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure) and 13 (Climate Action). Through collaboration with industry partners such as ILCS and Oracle, UI Vocational School strives to empower students in presenting innovative solutions oriented towards sustainable and environmentally friendly technology. This approach aligns with UI’s mission to become a superior and impactful university for society and industry, while simultaneously supporting the transition to a green economy in Indonesia.

Following the discussion session, the event continued with the announcement of the winners of ICON 3.0. After a rigorous selection process, the Smooth Operator team from the Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB) took first place. Second place went to the MyPelindo team from the Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS), and third place went to the Unicon team from the Universitas Indonesia.
In addition to the top three, the committee also presented several special awards to recognize the innovative ideas of the finalists. The Most Empowering MSME Solution category was won by the Naviotics team from Universitas Gunadarma. Meanwhile, The Most Sustainable Green Logistics Solution was awarded to The Cornerstone team from Universitas Airlangga. The Most Implementable Solution award was won by the Seven Team from the Universitas Indonesia.
The Best Institutional Integration award went to the TIMTAM group from ITB and The Most Outstanding Exhibition award was won by Solo Player from Trisakti School of Management.
Riko Firdaus, the first-place representative from the Smooth Operator group from ITB, expressed his gratitude for this achievement. “We are very grateful, as it wasn’t easy to get to this point. Thank you also to the committee for organizing this event so well. We hope the solutions we proposed can have a positive impact,” he said.
The Head of the Public Relations Study Program, Mareta Maulidiyanti, S.Sos., M.M., stated that this collaborative event provides a platform for Public Relations students to implement their event management skills. This event provides a space for innovation, honing creativity, and testing ideas in real-world practice. Meanwhile, for external parties, this event provides an opportunity to explore the potential of the younger generation and forge productive collaborations for the future.
“All participants are winners because they dared to try and compete. Students must continue to innovate and not be afraid to develop their creative ideas,” Mareta concluded.
