Depok-Two students of the Accounting study program, Vocational Education Program, Universitas Indonesia (UI), Latifah Nadine Bandjar and Thallulah Adilla Maharani, have just participated in the Sunway TES – ACCA Global Audit Simulation program held at Sunway College, Malaysia, on June 9-16, 2025. This program is an implementation of collaboration between Sunway TES and ACCA Malaysia which was attended by around 160 participants from various institutions. The majority of participants came from ACCA at Sunway College, but also attended by students from the Universitas Indonesia, Petra Christian University, and Universiti Brunei Darussalam.
The event is held annually and was first participated by UI Vocational. This program is one of the implementations of collaboration between UI Vocational and ACCA in providing a place for students to learn about the world of work directly. Nadine and Lula successfully passed a series of selections, starting from academic assessments, English tests, and various other stages.

“I am interested in joining this program because I see great benefits, especially as a vocational student who will prepare to enter the workforce,” said Nadine. She added that understanding theory and practice alone is not enough, but also requires practical experience that reflects real conditions, especially in the field of auditing.
In preparing herself, Nadine deepened her understanding of the audit process from lecture materials and external sources such as online videos, and prepared herself mentally to work in a cross-cultural team. Likewise, Lula also prepared herself academically and personally.

“This activity provides real experience working in an audit simulation with colleagues from various countries. I learned a lot about the importance of effective communication and teamwork, especially when facing the dynamics of a complex audit process,” said Lula.
During the program, all participants received training through the Audit Workshop by Deloitte Malaysia which covered important stages in auditing, such as audit planning, audit risk identification, to audit procedure implementation. After that, each participant was divided into teams to complete a comprehensive audit case study, which included client document analysis, audit procedure implementation, auditee meeting, audit working paper preparation, and audit result presentation in front of Audit Review Managers from a number of leading accounting firms, PwC, Deloitte, EY, KPMG, and BDO.
According to Nadine, this experience enriched her technical insight while building an international network. “I hope this experience can be an added value when entering the world of work later, especially in the field of audit or finance,” said Nadine. She also said that classroom learning really helped her during the program. “Courses such as Audit, Financial Accounting, and Intermediate Accounting are really very relevant. All of that is the foundation in understanding and running this audit simulation,” added Nadine.
