Depok-The spirit of collaboration between students was rekindled during the 2025 Comparative Study Program organized by the Universitas Indonesia Vocational Public Relations Student Association (HM VokHum UI) and the IPB University Communication and Community Development Student Association (HIMASIERA). The event took place on September 27, 2025, at the VC Building, UI Vocational Education Program.

This event serves not only as a gathering place but also as a platform for building sustainable networks across universities. Through this meeting, the two associations exchange ideas, broaden their horizons, and create opportunities for more innovative collaboration in student organization management.

Carrying the theme “Exploring Differences, Building Collaboration: HIMASIERA IPB x HM VokHum UI,” this activity emphasized that the differences in organizational characteristics are actually a source of strength. Although both operate in the realm of communication and community empowerment, both associations have unique approaches that complement each other. This theme reflects the importance of learning from diversity to produce more impactful joint programs.

The event opened with a warm welcome from Mareta Maulidiyanti, S.Sos., M.M., Head of the Public Relations Study Program. Mareta said, “UI’s Vocational focuses on practice, ensuring its graduates are ready to enter the workforce, with courses that are applicable and have a direct impact on society. We hope that through this comparative study, students can exchange experiences, broaden their horizons, and build strong relationships.”

Meanwhile, IPB University lecturer representative, Ghilandy Ramadhan, S.T., M.Sc., emphasized the historical significance of the relationship between UI and IPB. “With a sacred and meaningful theme, we believe this comparative study is a valuable opportunity to re-establish the historical closeness between UI and IPB,” he said.

The next event was a presentation of each student association’s grand design, delivered directly by the chairpersons. This presentation opened the way for discussion on the strategies and visions of student organizations in facing today’s challenges.

The discussion then continued with a Focus Group Discussion (FGD), where participants were invited to visualize their insights using the creative Tree of Knowledge method. The tree trunk represents the main topic, while the branches and leaves represent the resulting ideas, reflections, and recommendations for action. This activity not only practiced critical analysis but also strengthened collaboration among participants in generating solution-oriented ideas.

One of the participants from IPB University, Daffa Khoirudin, expressed his enthusiasm. Daffa said, “It’s so exciting to see UI and IPB on the same wavelength. Especially since we come from study programs that work in the same field. We’re really looking forward to future collaborations.”

The event concluded with a Voks Tour, a campus tour that introduced the academic atmosphere and facilities of UI Vocational, from study spaces to the student activity center. This opportunity provided IPB University students with an opportunity to better understand the UI Vocational campus atmosphere and broaden their inspiration for managing student activities.

Through the 2025 Comparative Study, HM VokHum UI and HIMASIERA IPB not only exchanged ideas but also built a foundation for sustainable collaboration. The warmth, creativity, and shared enthusiasm generated during this activity are expected to be crucial for developing more relevant, innovative, and impactful student programs for the community.
