In order to find out the disparity between study programs and between institutions as the basis for determining education quality development policies, the government established a higher education accreditation system. Accreditation is an assessment activity in accordance with the criteria that have been set based on the National Standards for Higher Education. Accreditation is carried out to determine the feasibility of Study Programs and universities based on criteria that refer to the National Standards for Higher Education. Accreditation is also a form of public accountability that is carried out objectively, fairly, transparently, and comprehensively. As the only accreditation body recognized by the government at that time, BAN-PT had the authority to implement an accreditation system for all higher education institutions including state universities (PTN), private universities (PTS), religious universities (PTA), official universities (PTK), distance education programs, and cooperation programs with higher education institutions in the country offered by higher education institutions from abroad. Initially, accreditation was only carried out for study programs with the consideration that the study program determines the quality of educational outcomes. However, in reality, the quality of study programs is influenced by the relationship between study programs and others in one institution, therefore accreditation of higher education institutions (AIPT) must also be carried out. (Source: BAN-PT) The UI Vocational Education Program conducted accreditation for the Tax Administration Study Program on Thursday-Friday, August 11-12, 2016 which took place at the UI Vocational Program Building starting from 14.00 until finished. The team of assessors who carried out this accreditation was Drs. Dul Muid, M.Si. Akt. and Asrori M., S.E., M.Si. Padang Wicaksono, S.E., Ph.D. as Deputy Director of Field I who at that time represented the Director of the Vocational Education Program and his staff were optimistic to get the maximum and best results from the accreditation for the Tax Administration Study Program which was carried out this year.
