Taufik Asmiyanto, Head of Information and Documentation Management Studies Program (MID) Vocational UI, is a professor of library and information science who started his career since 1999. He is from Java-Betawi. His subjects are related to information management and information technology. He also worked in the structural officials in Faculty of Humanities (FIB) UI, in 2005-2006, he was a Head of Public Relations (PR). In 2007-2008 he was manage the Diploma Program of Information and Document Management (MID), FIB UI. In 2008-2012, he served as Deputy Head of Library Science Studies Program in FIB UI. Besides teaching, Taufik is active in research activities in University of Indonesia. At least, there are three (3) awards in the faculty competition research. He also received the national award of National Strategic Research as one of the researcher entitled Indonesian e-cultural heritage and national history in 2010. In 2011, he received a grant Community Service (Pengmas) University of Indonesia in the capacity building program for high school teachers in Depok entitled “Information Literacy Program with Big6TM Approach For Teachers High School (SMA) in Depok”.
Beside that, he is also familiar with entrepreneur world, he worked as a consultant and helped the development of the library institution, such as archives and information centers in Indonesia. He is recorded as a consultant for Germany GTZ in the anti-corruption Clearing House development in anti-corruption agency institution of KPK. As a trainer in library and information science, it made him to visit many areas throughout Indonesia. He has a motto “Meeting different people every day”. He loves wearing batik. Currently, he serves as Head of the Management of Information and Document Studies Program (MID) in Vocational UI.
