Depok-The Universitas Indonesia Vocational Education Program continues to strengthen its position as a leading center of applied education by reinforcing the KITA values: Competent, Integrity, Transformative, and Adaptive. These values serve as the foundation for developing innovative, professional, highly competitive graduates with strong connections to the industrial world, and significant contributions to national development.
The Director of the UI Vocational Education Program, Dr. Safrin Arifin, SKM., S.St., M.Sc., emphasized that vocational education at UI does not aim to produce a workforce limited to technical skills alone, but rather to prepare them as professionals with mastery of competencies, certifications, and work attitudes that meet global standards. “UI Vocational graduates are more than just technical workers. The standard for UI Vocational graduates is globally competitive professionals, with superior skills, a characterful attitude, and professional certifications to equip them to penetrate global competition,” said Safrin.
UI Vocational implements a learning approach that integrates theory and practice, including applied laboratories, industrial projects, and structured internship programs. The curriculum is designed in collaboration with industry players and professional associations to maintain relevance to technological developments and job market needs.

The UI Vocational transformation program is implemented by encouraging an entrepreneurial and business spirit among UI Vocational students and graduates. This is realized to stimulate the creative climate and economy through practice-based learning, business incubation, and collaboration with industry partners, preparing them to address relevant national challenges and be globally competitive. Through this spirit of innovation and collaboration, UI Vocational plays an active role in developing young entrepreneurs with innovations and business models that contribute significantly to driving the creative economy and national development.
In line with its strategic direction for the next few years, UI Vocational is targeting the implementation of an adaptive curriculum based on 4.0 technology and artificial intelligence, as well as the integration of professional certification for all graduates. This effort is part of a strategic pillar to improve educational quality and access to learning by increasing the accreditation of superior study programs.
