One of the important agendas carried out was the signing of a memorandum of understanding (MoU) between UI Vocational School and Qingdao Agricultural University for the 2026-2028 cooperation period, which includes lecturer and student exchanges, joint research development, and the holding of master classes that combine academic excellence and international industrial practices.
In addition, UI Vocational and Shandong Management University (School of Art and Design) also discussed the implementation of international internship programs, joint academic conferences, and collaborative product exhibitions. This is expected to serve as a platform to connect students and faculty with the global creative industry ecosystem.
The visit also coincided with the UI Vocational School delegation’s participation in the 10th Academic Conference on Arts and Design Education of Shandong Universities 2025, a forum that brought together hundreds of academics and creative industry practitioners from across China. During the event, the UI Vocational delegation networked with the attending academics to develop future collaborations.
Director of the UI Vocational Education Program, Padang Wicaksono, S.E., Ph.D, said that this step is an important part of UI Vocational’s grand strategy in providing globally competitive vocational education.
“We want to ensure that UI Vocational students have competencies relevant to the needs of global industry. This collaboration not only opens up international internship and research opportunities but also strengthens academic networks across countries,” said Padang.
