Depok-The Department of Social Affairs of the Public Relations Vocational Student Association of the Universitas Indonesia (HM VokHum UI) is once again holding an annual work program entitled PResent 2025. This year, the activity is packaged with a more interactive concept through edutainment activities at KidZania, Pacific Place Mall, South Jakarta, on October 25, 2025.

This program was attended by fifteen children from the PYI Kebayoran Orphanage, who were invited to play and learn through direct experience playing various professions. Carrying the theme “Fun Learning, New Dreams: Getting to Know the World of Professions in a Fun Way through Interactive Learning Experiences,” PResent 2025 strives to provide a fun educational experience and motivate children to recognize their dreams and plan for the future with enthusiasm.

This theme aligns with the learning-by-doing method, a learning approach that emphasizes hands-on experience through real-world practice. Children are encouraged to try out various professions, such as dentist, police officer, pilot, machinist, firefighter, and even news anchor, to develop a more concrete understanding of the world of work.

Through this, children not only play but also develop self-confidence, communication skills, and basic problem-solving skills. Furthermore, PResent 2025 supports the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly on Quality Education and Reduced Inequalities, by opening access to inspiring and inclusive non-formal education.

Irwan Setiawan, a representative of the PYI Kebayoran Orphanage, expressed his appreciation to HM VokHum UI for this meaningful social initiative. Irwan said, “I would like to express my gratitude for inviting the children to play and learn together at KidZania. The children are very happy and motivated to pursue their dreams.

Meanwhile, Evan Abdul Azizi Surapati, Chair of the UI Vocational High School Student Association (HM VokHum UI), stated that this activity demonstrates the students’ commitment to the surrounding community. “We want to provide a fun and meaningful experience for the children from the PYI Kebayoran Orphanage. We hope they can find inspiration and pursue their dreams through this activity,” Evan said.

Enthusiasm radiated from the participants’ faces throughout the event. One participant, Kianzi, expressed her excitement at trying out the cake-making profession. “I really enjoyed making cakes at Bogasari. I give the cake-making game a 10 out of 10. I hope there will be more events like this because it was so much fun,” she said.

This activity also received full support from the Head of the Public Relations Study Program, Mareta Maulidiyanti, S.Sos., M.M. “The Present Program is a concrete manifestation of the implementation of practice-based learning applied in the classroom. Students of the UI Vocational Public Relations study program not only learn communication theory, but are also able to apply it to create real social impact. Through this activity, students practice managing empathy-based programs, while also instilling humanitarian values and social responsibility that align with the character of vocational graduates,” Mareta concluded.
