Depok-As an effort to improve the quality of public services, the Universitas Indonesia (UI) Vocational Education Program held a Public Service Consultation Forum involving various stakeholders, ranging from students, lecturers, education personnel, alumni, to industry partners. The activity, which took place on June 17, 2025, is an important part of UI Vocational’s commitment to realizing inclusive, responsive, and user-oriented services.

This forum aims to gather input, constructive criticism, and suggestions for improvement from all parties who interact directly with the services provided by UI Vocational. Through open and transparent dialogue, this forum becomes a means of evaluation and reflection on the quality of service, as well as a place for synergy between academic institutions and external stakeholders. In addition, the forum which is held periodically is one of UI Vocational’s efforts in supporting the Integrity Zone activities on campus.

In his remarks, Vice Director for Education, Research, and Student Affairs, Deni Danial Kesa, MBA., Ph.D, said that the holding of this forum is a real implementation of the principle of good governance in public services. “We want to ensure that every opinion from stakeholders, both internal and external, can be heard and become the basis for formulating policies and service innovations in the future,” said Deni.

UI Vocational has provided various technology-based services, ranging from services such as the Complaint, Reporting, and Aspiration Application for the Integrity Zone (APPAZI); Vocational Solutions (SOLVI); Student Activity Information System (SIGMA); UI-Vocational Annual Performance Analysis System (SAKTI); Internship and Final Project Assessment System for Vocational Studies (SIMANTAV); and others. These various services are used to support various public services that are intended to facilitate and accelerate the service process.

On that occasion, the forum participants provided various inputs related to academic services, administration, supporting facilities, information communication, and the involvement of industry partners in the learning process at UI Vocational. All inputs provided will be a reflection and evaluation for each service provider unit so that improvements can continue to be made.

Integrity Zone (ZI) is a predicate given to government agencies whose leaders and all staff are committed to realizing Corruption-Free Areas (WBK) and Clean and Serving Bureaucratic Areas (WBBM) through bureaucratic reform, especially in preventing corruption and improving the quality of public services. In general, the ZI predicate aims to encourage the creation of a clean and accountable bureaucracy, improve excellent public services, and build a transparent and corruption-free work culture.

The implementation of this Public Service Consultation Forum is in line with UI Vocational efforts in supporting the development of the Integrity Zone promoted by the Ministry of State Apparatus Empowerment and Bureaucratic Reform of the Republic of Indonesia, as well as the fulfillment of public service standards regulated in Law No. 25 of 2009 concerning Public Services. In addition to these activities, UI Vocational also provides opportunities for academics, especially lecturers and education personnel to become Agents of Change as a form of initiator of change and innovation to advance excellent public services.
