Depok, June 21, 2022. A total of 26 students of the Vocational Education Program, Universitas Indonesia (UI) successfully passed the 2022 Indonesian International Mobility Awards for Vocational Students (IISMAVO) program. The IISMAVO 2022 is a program organized by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology of the Republic of Indonesia as part of the Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) program.

The Director of the UI Vocational Education Program, Padang Wicaksono, S.E., Ph.D, said, “I hope that later students who have gained new knowledge from these campuses can share their experiences and apply them in industrial practice in the country. In addition, this program will also be the start for us to continue to create quality vocational graduates that are in line with industry needs, not only on a national scale, but also on a global scale. Thank you also to all the education and student teams at UI Vocational who have accompanied the students, starting from the registration process, selection, to graduation announcements.”

The IISMAVO program aims to facilitate vocational students to get closer to the world of international industry. The experience of studying abroad can provide a broader understanding in dealing with global issues. The following are the names of UI Vocational students who successfully passed the IISMAVO 2022 program:

25. Taufiq Hidayat – Accounting study program (Coventry University, United Kingdom); and
26. Ramiza Nawalanang Ardjanggi – Accounting study program (International University of Applied Sciences, German).

This international outbound mobility activity which is held for one semester abroad will focus on learning that is oriented directly to industry. Activities carried out include full time internships, a combination of internships and classes, as well as full sit-ins in class with industry-based learning.

“The IISMAVO program as a study program at the first vocational overseas campus in Indonesia, is also the first experience for us to send the best students at UI Vocational to study abroad. I give my highest appreciation to the students who have worked hard to go through various stages to get a scholarship program at a world-renowned campus,” said Padang.
