Depok – As a form of the tri dharma institution of higher education, the UI Vocational Education Program implements Community Service with a focus on Science and Technology for the Community. The main priority of this program is to increase the digital capacity of community literacy through increasing the role of mosque social responsibility. The main targets of this program are the administrators of the Mosque Prosperity Board (DKM) Nurul Huda and Al-Kautsar in Depok City, West Java. The program, which has been running since the second quarter of 2018, was held to answer the needs of the community related to increasing the role of the mosque as an excellent center.
DKM administrators were given basic training in making the Logical Framework Analysis framework as a basis for results-based mosque management and governance. After getting the training, the mosque administrators together with the UI Vocational team made a mosque social responsibility program in the form of a library with a digital system (digital literacy room), making a mosque website, learning modules such as the module for preparing financial statements for mosques and using social media modules for socialization mosque with the concept of Digital Literacy to the public. UI Vocational Lecturer and Chair of the Community Service Servant Team, Wahyu Noviantoro, S.Sos., M.Sc, said that the existence of mosques became the most effective means to increase community knowledge capacity through the implementation of Civic Education Education Model by using mosques as a means of learning Digital Literacy to worshipers, especially the easy generation, are more productive and able to use internet information positively. “In terms of improving the function of internal accountability and control of mosques, for example, a Standard Operational Procedure (SOP) is made that is clearly related to finance and transfers manual records to electronic records. we collaborate with accounting software managers and use the cash manager system for mosques that become partners, “Wahyu added.
With this program the mosque can be used as a vocational education facility, namely by organizing training to improve skills and skills competencies, especially for generations of productive age who do not have the chance to obtain formal education.
