The University of Indonesia divides two categories of entry paths for high school graduates who want to continue their education to a higher level. The two entrance routes are: INVITATION PATH is an entrance selection based on report card scores. Admission is based on academic achievement as shown by report card scores by taking into account the school’s achievement index and adjusting to the existing capacity. The invitation path is only for students who will graduate in the same year when they apply. For example, PPKB 2016 is for high school graduates in 2016. The Achievement of Equal Learning Opportunities (PPKB) PPKB is an invitation route for Vocational and Parallel S1 education programs . Only schools that receive an invitation from UI, can enroll their students in this program. Applicants can only choose one Vocational study program or one Parallel S1 program at UI. Students who cannot take part in PPKB, still have the opportunity to register for Parallel S1 through the SIMAK UI written exam. WRITTEN PATH is an entrance selection based on a written exam. Admission is based on the results of the written exam. The writing path can be followed by anyone without a limit on the year of graduation by following the provisions of each educational program. The Entrance Selection (SIMAK) UI SIMAK is a writing path organized by UI. This writing path is intended for Regular S1, Parallel and Vocational S1 education programs. Graduation year restrictions apply to Regular S1 applicants. As for Parallel and Vocational S1, there is no limit on the year of graduation. Applicants can choose several study programs/majors that have Regular, Parallel S1 and Vocational education programs at once with only one exam. Further explanation will be submitted here The schedule for new student admissions for the 2016 academic year can be seen here The entrance route does not affect the tuition fee. Because the cost of education is not determined based on the entrance route, but based on the educational program. The difference in education fees between educational programs in general is that Regular S1 education fees are free of tuition fees while Vocational (D3), Parallel S1 and Parallel Class S1 are charged a tuition fee at the time of first acceptance. Considering that there are no 2016 tuition fees that can be displayed, you can currently see the previous year’s tuition fees here *source: www.simak.ui.ac.id
