Among others, using LED lights in several locations, using automatic water taps in several toilets.
In addition, Vocational UI implements an energy saving policy by turning off lights and air conditioning in classrooms and work rooms when the rooms are not in use. The use of lights in the halls of the building only when the weather conditions are dark and at night. During the day the lights are not turned on because it is already bright enough thanks to the large windows of the building.
Vocational UI invites its academic community to participate in energy saving and environmental change, among others with posters or stickers to turn off lights, save water use in sinks, toilets, and places of worship.
The use of electricity in the UI Vocational School is 1,341,001 kWh per year, which means the usage load per individual population in the UI Vocational School is 414.52 kWh per year.

The design of buildings A, B, and C at Vocational UI has a continuous ventilation system from the top floor to the ground floor. The use of this ventilation system ensures that the hallways of each floor remain cool and provide fresh air in the building without the use of air conditioning in the hallways.
The total carbon footprint of the Vocational Education Program was 1,067.55 metric tons in the last 12 months, which means the carbon footprint per individual UI Vocational population was 0.33 metric tons in the last 12 months.
