Jakarta, May 9, 2018 – Vokkomfest is back as an annual activity organized by lecturers, students, and practice assistants in the UI Vocational Education Communication Study Program.
Vokkomfest, which stands for Vocational Communication Festival, has a different theme every year. In 2018, the theme raised is “Tropical” because it is in accordance with the trend that is now given the term now and is located in the UI Vocational Parking Lot from 10.00 to 17.00 WIB.
Initially, the purpose of Vokkomfest was as a Final Semester Exam score of the Integrated Marketing Communication course for students specializing in Public Relations and Advertising. However, starting from 2017, Broadcasting also participated because it was considered to have marketing skills that would be relevant to the world of work.
In addition, other goals are also created. The proposals made by the students have been included in the PKM or Student Credit Program activities at the UI level which is a competition in marketing technology and as many as ten proposals have passed. Then this year, Vokkomfest also succeeded in bringing proposals to the UI level and for UI Community Service 2018.
This success received support funds from the UI Directorate of Research and Community Development. Because the goal is to empower, the target target achieved is the entire UI Vocational academic community, students, and residents of the village so that partners can have a good Integrated Marketing Communication program and be facilitated by a free bazaar.
There are 39 MSMEs consisting of food/non-food products, services, radio, community and local TV, and youtubers. In addition to the bazaar, the event was also filled with performances by bands, namely, BSO Kamikasi, Reise, Adrian W.S, Qtime Lemontea, and Galassia. The event was closed with the announcement of the best tenant winner.
