The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) are a 2030 plan that has been mutually agreed upon by all Member States of the United Nations (UN) in 2015. This plan provides a standard blueprint for peace and prosperity for humans and the environment, currently and in the future.
There are 17 SDG points, an urgent call for action by all developed and developing countries in a global partnership. This step is a form of awareness that ending poverty and other deprivation must go hand in hand with strategies to improve health and education, reduce inequality, spur economic growth, tackle climate change and work to conserve the oceans and the environment.
