Pada periode tersebut, Program Diploma 2 (D2) dan Diplomas 3 (D3) Kearsipan telah terbentuk dari tahun 1983 bawah Fakultas Sastra yang kini menjadi Fakultas Ilmu Budaya (FIB) Universitas Indonesia. Pada tahun 2000 Program Studi D3 Kearsipan berubah menjadi Program Studi (Prodi) Manajemen Informasi dan Dokumen (MID). Seiring dengan perkembangan pendidikan vokasi dan meningkatnya kebutuhan industri terhadap sumber daya manusia yang profesional dan kompeten, penyelenggaraan pendidikan vokasi di Universitas Indonesia terus mengalami penguatan dan pengembangan. Efeknya pada tahun 2008 Prodi D3 MID secara administrasi memisahkan diri dari FIB dan bergabung dengan Program Pendidikan Vokasi UI. Pada 2011 secara fisik lokasi Vokasi UI pindah dari fakultas-fakultas dengan menempati wilayah baru di komplek UI Depok diikuti dengan semua prodi diploma lainnya. Setelah perpindahan fisik ini pada tahun 2016 Prodi D3 MID juga berubah nama menjadi prodi D3 Manajemen Rekod dan Arsip (MRA) yang berfokus pada bidang rekod dan arsip. Kemudian pada 2021 Prodi D3 MRA berubah kembali menjadi Prodi Diploma 4 (D4) atau Sarjana Terapan.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Program Sarjana Terapan (Diploma IV) Studi Manajemen Rekod dan Arsip adalah program studi yang bertujuan untuk mencetak Sarjana Terapan Bidang Manajemen Rekod dan Arsip yang mampu merancang pengelolaan sumber daya rekod dan arsip sesuai dengan standar yang berlaku serta mampu menerapkannya dengan memanfaatkan teknologi informasi secara inovatif dan bertanggung jawab berdasarkan etika profesi. Peluang lapangan kerja di bidang rekod dan arsip di Indonesia masih sangat terbuka lebar baik di organisasi pemerintahan, BUMN, maupun swasta yang dalam proses bisnis mereka pasti menciptakan arsip yang harus dikelola. Terlebih ketika era yang serba digital saat ini, kemampuan profesional pengelola rekod dan arsip dalam bentuk elektronik dan digital harus dimiliki oleh lulusan dari program studi ini. <\/span><strong>Lulusan program studi D4 Manajemen Rekod dan Arsip akan memiliki gelar S.Tr.S.I. Bidang pembelajaran mencakup penciptaan rekod, pengelolaan rekod (arsip dinamis), sistem manajemen dokumen dan rekod elektronik, digitalisasi kearsipan, aspek hukum kearsipan, penyusutan rekod dan arsip, pengindeksan dan metadata arsip, preservasi dan konservasi arsip, arsip vital dan terjaga, pengelolaan arsip statis, basis data kearsipan, dan manajemen data kearsipan. Melalui pembelajaran berbasis praktik dan kebutuhan industri, mahasiswa dipersiapkan untuk memiliki kemampuan dalam merencanakan, mengelola, mengembangkan, dan mengevaluasi pengelolaan rekod dan arsip
